There's no way you could complete the Christmas period without at least one visit to Santa.
There's no greater pleasure than seeing how excited the little ones get, which adds to the magic of Christmas.
So, keep your kids believing this year by introducing them to Santa himself. Here are the best grottos:

Christmas at Bocketts Farm

Enjoy the festivities this year and meet Father Christmas in his traditional workshop. Once there, you'll be greeted by one of the head elves and will begin a magical journey.
All aboard the Santa Express! Hop on the train and travel to the magical workshop, where you and your friends can gather for some more festive fun with the elves.
Then, you'll meet Father Christmas himself, who will gift you with one of his special golden coins, which you will be able to spend in his toy shop.
Prebooking is essential. Two adults max to accompany each child into the workshop. The Santa Express is for children only. Please allow 45 minutes for your visit with Santa.

Get ready to meet Father Christmas and Mrs Klaus this year who are visiting Hatchlands once again this festive season.
Find them all cosy in their festive room located in the courtyard, say hello to Santa and let him know what you want for Christmas and receive a small gift.
Everyone is welcome to visit. However, the experience has been best described for children aged between 2-8.

Magic of Christmas

Come and experience real festive magic this year at Chobham Adventure Farm where you’ll meet Santa’s elves and become a true Elf Helper! Meet Mrs Claus in her kitchen, learn elf magic in elf lessons, help the elves with their important elfie tasks, and create your very own bear. All before meeting the friendly reindeer and the big man himself: Santa!
Tickets include the Magic of Christmas and entrance to the Farm Park and indoor play area so you can let off steam before seeing Santa.

Santa Cruise on the River Wey
Millmead , Surrey, GU2- Dates: 30 November - 15 December

Meet Santa and see Guildford from the river!
Santa is coming to see Guildford from the river this season. Join him on the smooth, festive family cruise down the River Wey.
The cruise departs Millmead Island and will be 45 minutes long. Expect stories and presents from Santa himself and enjoy some mince pies and mulled wine as you go.
All profits and proceeds raised will support the work of enabling local people to overcome the disadvantage of low skills, poor educational achievement, limited opportunities and tough financial circumstances.
Tickets include mince pies and mulled wine or soft drinks, plus a present for the children.

Santa's Arrival at Notcutts Cranleigh Garden Centre
Guildford Road, Cranleigh, Surrey, GU6 8LT- Dates: From 17 November

The countdown to Christmas has begun with Santa set to make his big arrival at Notcutts Cranleigh on Sunday, November 17. Children will have a chance to see Santa arrive in style by vintage car, where he will officially open the garden centre's magical grotto and celebrate the start of all festive activities at Notcutts this season.

Santa's Christmas Wonderland at Chessington Garden Centre

Take a special journey through Santa’s Christmas Wonderland. Start in the craft workshop where you can help the elves and then continue through the wonderland where there will be plenty of opportunities to take photos before you meet Father Christmas.

Santa's Grotto

- Tickets cost £6 per child, with £1 from every ticket being donated to local charities (book)
Santa’s grotto is open every Saturday and Sunday from mid-November, as well as Christmas Eve and the week leading up to Christmas at many centres. See website for details of opening times. There’s no need to book, simply turn up on the day but don’t come between 12-1 pm as Santa will be feeding his reindeer.

Santa’s Snow Train and Crystal Grotto

Get ready! Santa's Snow Train is ready to leave the station!
Painshill Park is providing a special, festive experience this Christmas, which will include a magical train ride to visit Santa in the breathtaking Crystal Grotto.
Before boarding the Christmas train, keep yourself busy with festive colouring at the centre and take in the gorgeous views that the Painshill landscape has to offer.
Then, it's time to meet Santa with your family in the twinking, crystal cave, where children will receive a present from Santa and his friendly little helpers.
We recommend booking in the daytime to really take in what the grounds have to offer, plus there will be plenty of time to enjoy the grounds and visit the Christmas trail that will give you access to the gardens.

The Wonder Wood

Walkthrough The Wonder Wood, a real Christmas Tree forest. After writing your Christmas wishes and being entertained by a cast of characters along the way, your group will meet Santa in his log cabin. Please be aware that buggies are not allowed into the Wonder Wood. There are no Father Christmas visits on Dec 23 or 24 as he needs time to prepare his sleigh for the main event!

Wiglet’s Christmas Adventure is a magical, festive experience that commences with a meet and greet with a jolly elf, followed by interactive fun and surprises in a sparkly, spangly tunnel.
There will be a photo opportunity at the reindeer stables, which will be followed by a visit to the friendly guy himself.
After you meet Santa you will be able to visit the magical toy shop, where you can choose a present and decorate a cookie to take home with you.
