One of TV’s most inspiring art shows comes to our patch this month, with the filming of the sixth series of Sky Arts’ Portrait of an Artist taking place at Battersea Arts Centre. Regular viewers will know that over the course of two weeks, 24 celebrity sitters have their likenesses captured by some 72 competing artists, each hoping to make it to the prestigious £10,000 final commission. You can marvel at their speed and talent in BAC’s Grand Hall, with hosts Stephen Mangan and Dame Joan Bakewell.
