Best for: growing your own food
Connecting with nature by growing, cooking and sharing food is at the heart of this new holistic camp that runs for three weeks at the popular Quadrangle Trust sustainable living site in Shoreham. Kids tend, water, pick and cook organic crops from the forest garden, and there's lots of new experiences: from roasting sweet potatoes on the campfire and making their own pesto to foraging in the woodland and wild swimming. Accommodation is in bell tents and camp leaders will collect children from London mainline stations to bring them down to Kent for a two, five or seven night stay.
