In the lead up to Wimbledon, Savills Esher sponsored a charity tennis tournament to raise funds for Save the Children
Local tennis devotees gathered at Broom Close on a sunny June weekend for the finale of the 2015 Tennis Tournament and Garden Party, sponsored by the Esher branch of real estate provider Savills.
This was the twentieth year that Savills sponsored the charity event, and by all accounts it was another tremendous success, the biggest and busiest tournament so far, with matches taking place across private courts in the Esher area in aid of Save the Children.
Karl Matier, Head of Savills Esher sales, presented the prizes. "Today raised well over £4,000 in aid of the work of Save the Children across the world... it's an honour for us to be associated with this event."
Dr Sophie McCormick, Vice President of Save the Children UK, explained that the tournament was "about fun, social tennis and getting people of all ages and abilities onto the courts", while simultaneously helping "children across the world who are still denied proper healthcare, education, food and protection".
