For those who prefer to exercise solo, we've also included activities that will help you hone your technique or mix up your routine.

1. Cycling groups

Choose from three levels of riding group with Bike Fit Surrey.
Ride Easy is best for beginners, Ride Steady is for slightly more advanced and Ride Well is for those looking for a hillier, longer challenge.
Bike 50 Cycling
Over 50? Bike 50 Cycling has more than 250 members and runs group rides four to five times a week in the Surrey Hills.
So, if jumping on your bike and enjoying some amazing views sounds like fun to you, then definitely give it a go!
The Surrey Hills Adventure Company
The best way to hone your technique and feel empowered is with The Surrey Hills Adventure Company.
The club runs three-hour, women-only mountain bike skills courses at Leith Hill and Holmbury Hill, near Dorking (Mar 6 and Apr 10).
2. Boating activities

The Hawley Lake Sail Training Centre
It’s hard to worry about an ever-growing to-do list when you are rowing or sailing your way across a picturesque Surrey lake.
The Hawley Lake Sail Training Centre always welcome new members and hold beginner's courses.
Frensham Pond Sailing Club
Based right on the lake, in the South West corner of Surrey is Frensham Pond Sailing Club.
The club welcomes new members and encourages those who are looking to learn.

Guildford Rowing Club
Guildford Rowing Club feels like family. They welcome all members, regardless of your technique or ability.
And they also have a great club atmosphere, which if you ask me, is really helpful when it comes to maintaining your fitness and motivation.
3. Running training

Karibu Trail Running Club
All you need is a pair of trainers to take up running; join the Karibu Trail Running Club and see the county as you’ve never seen it before.
Each month, the team of outdoor brand Salomon-trained coaches lead 12 off-road runs across West Sussex and Surrey, ranging from 5k to 16k.
Not only will you enjoy the beauty of the county from a whole new perspective, but you’ll also earn points with every run, which can be redeemed off Salomon trail running products.
Hone your technique with Matt Buck
Matt Buck is a Salomon athlete who runs trail running workshops out of Chilworth, near Guildford.
Have your current technique assessed then build on your uphill and downhill technique, foot placement and the best nutrition to support your running (May 4 and Jun 8).

4. Swimming
The Surrey Hills Adventure Company
We all know that swimming is an amazing way to lose weight and get fit!
So, there's no wonder that the open water swimming revival is continuing to grow.
The Surrey Hills Adventure Company provides one of the best opportunities a splash.
The open water swim course is a 400m loop and is perfect for beginners and experienced swimmers. Plus, the water is crystal clear - fancy a dip?
Thorpe Open Water Swimming
Whether you're a serious swimmer, or someone looking to take a dip for the first time, Thorpe Open Water can help you any step of the way.
Based between Staines and Chertsey means it's the perfect location for some outdoor swimming!
However, be aware that Thorpe Open Water is closed during the winter and reopens in April.
