Claire Mischevani is a real find. Designer of the year back in 2005 and featured in glossies such as Vogue and Tatler, she is your go-to designer for feminine, flattering and classy day dresses and bridal wear. All garments are made in the UK and she also offers a bespoke service. Her boutique is actually based in my home town of Shrewsbury but she has stockists elsewhere around the country.
To create a striking look for a wedding or event, my main piece of advice is to keep it simple and well-fitted. You should either wear a plain non-patterned dress and match it with a colourful and bold hat or vice versa. Above I have selected three different dresses by Claire Mischevani to demonstrate styles suitable for different body shapes.

Pill box hats are ideal if you are wearing a particularly busy outfit or you just don’t like wearing hats but the dress code demands it. Pictured are a few of my favourite options. If you have long hair, a pill box hat usually looks best if your hair is tied back in a neat pony tail.
