Two dozen children from ages 8-18 spent their Halloween shooting a gory zombie movie across Barnes. Epidemic will premiere at the Olympic Cinema in Barnes on November 15 – don't get bitten!

Scripted and edited by 17-year old Yoni Ben-Haim, Epidemic is a blood-spattered story of an undead outbreak, filmed by a group of 24 local pupils aged 8-18 in locations across Barnes.
The young filmmakers attended a three-day workshop at the Barnes Film Academy over the Halloween half-term holidays, where they learned every aspects of filmmaking – from scriptwriting to sound, cutting to camerawork.
"The youngsters had a great time making this film", said course director Samuel Cullis, who is also behind the Barnes Film Festival. "They learned a lot, and should be proud of what they have achieved. Viewers be warned, however – the zombie slaying is quite gory!"
The London premiere of the movie takes place at The Olympic Cinema in Barnes on November 15, 11am, alongside a ‘making of' documentary to give the audience an insight into how hard the students worked to make the film happen.
The BFA runs regular half-term and holiday film camps for children aged 8-14, designed to a fun, confidence-building way to learn all about filmmaking. Their next course is in Easter.
