2. For dads who like to capture the moment
To mark its 60th anniversary, Surrey Wildlife Trust is hosting an exhibition of nature-inspired artwork and photography – captured by the residents of Surrey. See the county like never before and pick up tips for your own snapshots (until Jun 16 at the Guildford House Gallery, surreywildlifetrust.org). Alternatively, ‘Repurposed’ at the New Ashgate Gallery in Farnham, promises to be an innovative display of discarded materials, recycled and reused to form compelling artwork (Jun 15-Jul 27; newashgate.org.uk).
3. For dads who like to get their hands dirty
Take part in a Himalayan Balsam Pull – a chance to work with fellow volunteers from Town Lock to Thames Lock in a conservation bid to prevent this invasive species – each head disperses 500 seeds – taking over the towpath (Jun 23; reserve your space on 01483 561389).
