Witnesses sought after man found unconscious in Byfleet
Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses after a man was found unconscious following an incident in Byfleet just after midnight on Sunday (21 September).
The male victim was found unconscious by other members of the public outside the premises of Cartronics and Unity Motor Spares in High Road between 12-15 and 12-30am. He had also sustained a head injury and was taken to St George's Hospital in Tooting, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Officers have launched an investigation into how the man sustained these injuries and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time or has any other information which could assist their enquiries.
Detective Constable Kerry Whindle, who is leading the investigation, said: "This man was found unconscious and bleeding and had sustained serious injuries for which he is still being treated. We are trying to piece together the circumstances of how he ended up in this condition and would welcome any information which could help our investigation.”
