Police are appealing for witnesses following a suspicious fire in a garden shed at a property in Stanwell.
An orange and black Trek 4300 mountain bike was also stolen during the incident which happened at around 6am on Sunday 24 August in Shaw Close.
Witnesses have described seeing two young men in the area at the time. One was wearing a white hoodie with the hood up, a black jacket, dark coloured jogging bottoms and dark trainers. The other person, who was dressed in black, was seen riding the mountain bike away.
PC Sophie Best said: “This was a completely mindless act which has caused a considerable amount of damage to the shed.
"We are treating the fire as suspicious and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything unusual around 6am on the Sunday morning. Equally, if you know anything about the mountain bike please call Surrey Police on 101 so we can progress the investigation and bring the offenders to justice.”
