Local Surbiton community group Seething Wells is in the running to win a regional Britain Has Spirit Award. The volunteer group with the most votes will secure £1000 worth of funding for local community projects. Get voting people! Seething Wells has been nominated and is a London Regional finalist in the Britain has Spirit competition. The award is designed to recognise volunteers both as individuals and groups.
Over the last six or so years the group based in Surbiton has organised over 60 events including Surbiton Ski Sunday, The Seething Freshwater Sardine Festival, The Surbiton Food Festival and The British Bread Golf Open and the King’s Soup. These events have raised over £90,000 for local and national charities. Seething is also affiliated with The Community Brain, the wonderful people behind Kingston's world-famous International Youth Arts Festival (IYAF).

2016
- The Seething Trycyclingathon
Three different cycle rides to suit every level of energy and experience followed by entertainment of Claremont Gardens.
- Surbiton Ski Sunday & The Seething Luge
The seventh year for this internationally renowned event where people strap blocks of ice to their feet to ski down St Mark’s Hill or take to the Seething Luge
- The Kings’ Soup
An event where families can help cook and share the King’s Soup. Bring a leek or a potato if you can or just come along and enjoy the entertainment, stalls and charity bar
2017
- The Seething Festival
The annual event and procession that celebrates the local legend of Lefi Ganderson - The Goat Boy of Mount Seething - Procession at 3.30pm
- The British Bread Golf Open 2017
Come along and hit three dough gold balls towards a floating hole on the Thames and the chance to be world champion
- The Surbiton Food Festival
A celebration of local food - www.surbitonfoodfestival.org
- The Seething Freshwater Sardine Festival
After the successful fishing for freshwater sardines in 2012 there is great hope for a bumper catch in 2017 for this unique fish. Enjoy the parade, BBQ and entertainment on the beautiful Claremont Gardens
- The Surbiton Village Fete
A traditional village fete with food and drink to eat there or take away. Entertainment, bands, cookery displays and competitions
- The Seething Community Sports Day & Fun Dog Show
A traditional school sports day for all the family featuring egg & spoon, sack, sardine relay and the King’s Soup Race. Bring a picnic and join in the fun or just watch
