This Saturday is a celebration of small businesses around the UK – check online to find out how to have an entrepreneurial weekend
Small Business Saturday UK takes place on December 5, a national awareness day that aims to encourage public support of small businesses and local, independent retailers.
If you're a small business, or are looking to support those in your area, you should make sure to check them out online and either register your own business or see what events, markets and seminars you can enjoy on the day.
Sarah Willingham, the latest Dragon on Dragon's Den and local mum-trepreneur, is an ambassador for the event – you can read our interview with her here.
In other entrepreneurial TV news, Richard Woods – the self-styled Mr Surrey – is still storming to success on the latest series of BBC2’s The Apprentice. He's one of just eight remaining candidates, and the only one not to have been called into the boardroom – he's back on TV tonight, for the ninth episode.
The Windlesham resident, who made a guest appearance at last month's Richmond Business Club networking event, speaks passionately on the subject of his dyslexia, and how he believes the condition has helped him get ahead in business.
