Santa’s Reindeer visit Coworth Flexlands School
On Saturday 23 November Santa’s reindeer, Rudolph and Dasher, made a surprise appearance at Coworth Flexlands School’s annual Christmas Fair.
The Fair is held every year and helps to raise funds for local charities. It is always a highly anticipated event in the School’s calendar, not only for current families and friends, but also alumni – who often get involved setting up stalls and helping with activities for the younger children.
The School’s classrooms and grounds were packed with stalls for the children and their families – including some traditional favourites like Jazzy Jars and The Secrets Room where the children are able to buy gifts for their parents.
Girls from the School’s Eco-Council made bracelets, wreaths and decorations and the girls from the School Council arranged hat decoration activities for the children waiting patiently in line to see Santa.
“With bright blue skies, the presence of ‘real’ reindeer and the excitement of being able to make a contribution to the Samaritan’s Purse charity, the hard work put in by all those involved was well worth the effort”, commented Head, Mrs Sweeney.
