A Surrey man has been jailed for 20 weeks and banned from driving for four years after been caught drink driving a day after appearing in court for the same offence.
Dean Callan, 37, of Exeter Road, Ash appeared in court on January 13 when he was caught three times over the drink drive limit on Boxing Day.
Surrey Police then spotted him driving again at 1.45pm on January 14 in his road but he ignored their requests and ran into his house.
It later emerged that he had driven earlier in the day as his vehicle had shown up on an automatic plate recognition camera near Ash.
On January 13, at South West Surrey Magistrates Court he was given a year’s community order, which has been revoked in light of his custodial sentence, and was disqualified from driving for 26 months.
