The Surrey-based pop star will be joining Paloma Faith and others to play at the Hampton Court Palace Festival this June 11-23
Reality and pop star Peter Andre is delighted to have been asked to perform at the spectacular Tudor venue, a place which he says “adds something truly special to the festival experience”.
The Surrey-based singer also rightly praised the “great entertainment line-up” that he will be joining this year, that includes Sir Jools Holland and his 20-piece Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, who will be just back from their European tour.
After fireworks and fanfare from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on June 13, the John Wilson Orchestra will take up their instruments to play musical scores and show tunes from some of the best loved Hollywood classics.
Moving on from the orchestral theme, on June 16 and 18, we will see an intimate gig with Hackney singer Paloma Faith. The unique singer takes the stage fresh off her smash hit album A Perfect Contradiction.
A comic interlude is sandwiched between her shows on June 17, courtesy of comedians and quiz-show stars Alan Davies and Paul Merton – the former returning to stand-up, the latter working alongside his “Impro Chums” in a new show tailored for an audience.
Alfie Boe is in the spotlight on the 19th. The operatic heart-throb, famous for his performances in musicals and opera, most prominently his role as Jean Valjean in Les Misérables, he’ll be singing from his latest album Serenata.
And Mr Andre will be up on June 20, bringing a selection of the best-loved songs from his twenty-year career, such as Mysterious Girl and Flava, as well as songs from his latest album, Big Night. The festival culminates with three-time Academy Award winner Burt Bacharach, who finishes up on the 23.
