A body has been found in the search for a missing 55-year-old Desmond Carr, from Ewell.
Concerns for Carr were reported to police at around 5pm on Thursday, 18 September by a member of his family.
Surrey Police said they were growing increasingly concerned for his welfare, and appealed for help for the public in finding him.
Officers said Carr had links to the Sussex area, including Brighton and St Leonards-on-Sea, and that he may have travelled to either location.
On Saturday, the body of a man was found by Sussex Police officers in the Beachy Head area.
Although the body has yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of Desmond Carr.
His next of kin have been made aware of the discovery of the body.
At this time the death is being treated as unexplained.
