The body of a man found by a Surrey Police search team off St Peters Way in Addlestone has been confirmed to be that of missing man James Phelan.
The 42-year-old disappeared from the Accident and Emergency department at St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey at 7pm on Friday, 8 August.
Mr Phelan was said to have medical issues, and officers became increasingly concerned for his welfare.
The body was found almost exactly a week later, just before 7pm on Friday, 15 August, by a Surrey Police search team off St Peters Way in Addlestone.
