A fire engine answering an emergency call collided with a pedestrian on Saturday night (Dec 6) in Esher town centre.
Officers were called to Portsmouth Road just before 7pm.
Emergency services, including the air ambulance, attended the scene and the pedestrian, a man in his 50s, was taken by ambulance to St George's Hospital in Tooting with serious but not life threatening injuries.
Portsmouth Road was closed to traffic while an investigation was carried out and emergency services dealt with the incident. The road was reopened at around 10.30pm.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it to come forward.
