The family of Toby the Border Terrier, which includes a six-month-old little girl and three-legged rescue dog, are calling for his safe return after he was bundled into a silver car and disappeared
A Border Terrier called Toby that was last seen being put in a silver car by a man with a child in Woking has been missing for three days.
Toby slipped out of his Maybury home when his owner accidentally left the door open on October 10th.
A young boy picked up the dog meaning to return him, but was intercepted by an older man, who said he would take the dog to get micro-chipped, and take him to a vet.
Toby’s owners originally thought the man may have had good intentions, but discovered from a neighbour that a man of the same description had been on the same road three weeks ago, asking after dogs.
Toby’s owner Louise, who is a vet herself, has contacted all of the vets in Surrey, none of whom have seen Toby.
They now believe Toby has been stolen, and are campaigning for everyone to help bring him home.
“We are devastated” said Louise. “Toby has loved my six month old daughter since the day she was born, and always sits by her. My little girl desperately wants her dog back.

“We also have a 3-legged rescue dog, Peggy, who is a Staffie-cross, and Toby is her companion. He supports her, and she is lost without him. Peggy is very depressed waiting by door and our little girl is looking for him!
“We haven't slept. We just want him to come home and feel so angry that someone could think it was OK to take him. He was right outside our house when the man put him in his car, and would have come back inside if he hadn’t been intercepted. It’s a horrible chain of events. We are very frustrated.”
There have been possible sightings of Toby in Kettering, and on the A3 near Ripley.
The family are offering an unspecified reward for Toby’s safe return.
