Neo

Behind his wide smile, Neo has one of the saddest stories of any Battersea dog. This young boy arrived at Battersea’s Old Windsor centre as a stray over a year ago. Aged just two, Neo has now been in kennels for half his adult life. When Neo arrived at Battersea he was very underweight, but was still wearing his trademark smile and bounding about with enthusiasm. Neo’s a lovely-natured boy who’s been in kennels for far too long and he deserves a shot at happiness. If you think he could be the one for you, please get in touch.

Gorgeous Louis is sure to bring a smile to anyone’s face. This sweet seven-year-old Spaniel loves to play and, once he’s decided on his favourite soft toy, he’ll carry it around all day long and show it off to everyone he meets. Louis is a busy dog who usually has his head to the ground and he’s looking for a home with active owners who have experience with Spaniels. Louis loves people and gets scared when he’s left by himself, so he’ll need owners who are willing to help him work on this and show him there are no monsters under the bed. He will reward anyone who takes him home with years of joy, love and smiles.

Who could resist this six-year-old’s cheeky, infectious grin? Lurcher Derek is a beautiful dog with a playful personality to match. He came into Old Windsor as a stray and when he arrived he was filthy, with bad skin and a nasty wound on his foreleg. But - with a few baths and a bit of TLC from Battersea’s vets - Derek has made a full recovery and his true, giggly nature soon shone through. He loves people, but can still be a bit shy at first around other dogs, so he’s looking for a family who are willing to work to help him build up his canine confidence. Derek is looking for a home away from the hustle and bustle of the city, with active owners and a garden where he can zoom around to his heart’s content. Could you be the one to bring a smile to Derek’s face?

The duo have been at Battersea’s Old Windsor centre for a few weeks now and they’ve become firm favourites with the staff. Rosie

Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rosie arrived in Battersea with an injury to her front, left leg which was clearly causing her pain. Despite their best efforts, Battersea’s vets were sadly unable to fix it and, in the end, they made the difficult decision to amputate her leg. Since then two-year-old Rosie has been much happier and has been enjoying her three-legged life. This two-year-old is an optimistic soul who loves to play and show off her impressive fetch and drop skills. Rosie is also always happy to learn new tricks, especially when there is a tasty reward on offer. Rosie is an excitable girl who will benefit from being the only pet in her new home and instead meet other dogs for regular playdates. Any children in the home should be teenagers who are confident around dogs and will keep playtime calm.

Extremely clever and full of energy, she’s looking for a home with a garden, with owners who can keep her mind and body active. Ola loves people and would love to live in a home where people will be around for most of the day. She will reward anyone who takes her home with years of joy and smiles.

Eight-year-old Paddy may be a slightly older chap, but you’d never know it when you meet him. He came in through no fault of his own after his owner sadly passed away. He’s now looking for the perfect owner to come along and relax with him. Paddy may look fluffy and cute, but there is a confident boy under that bundle of fur who quite likes the sound of his own voice! He’s a happy-go-lucky little dog and very affectionate. He will make the perfect companion to someone and is sure to light up their day with his happy grin. Anyone interested in taking Paddy home will need to speak with one of Battersea’s vets first.

Life has really thrown Jaybee a curve-ball, but she’s not letting that get her down. This eight-year-old is now looking for a comfy home and ideally, she’d like to escape to the country for her twilight years. If you’ve fallen in love with Jaybee’s smile, please let Battersea know.
