A3 guildford car crash
A driver who fell asleep at the wheel on the Guildford part of the A3 has had a lucky escape.
Surrey Police was called to a two vehicle collision between an HGV and a green Peugeot 206 northbound on the A3 near the Stoke interchange in the early hours of the morning (29 September).
The car was travelling southbound and then collided with the central reservation, ending up facing the wrong way on the northbound carriageway.
The driver managed to get out of his vehicle just before it was involved in the collision with the HGV.
The lorry driver is uninjured, while the car driver sustained minor injuries.
