Body found in search for missing Oxshott man

A body has been found in the search for a missing man in his 70s from Oxshott.

The body was discovered in Oxshott at around 3pm on Saturday, 29 November.

Although formal identification has not yet taken place, the body is believed to be that of Martyn Pedder, 73, who was reported missing on the morning of Friday, 28 November. His next of kin has been informed.

Surrey Police thanked members of the public, the media and the volunteers from Surrey Search and Rescue who assisted with the search.

A Surrey Police Spokesperson, said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with Martyn’s family at this difficult time.”
