Albert Stanley, a prisoner who absconded from HMP Leyhill in South Gloucestershire, has been found by police at an address in Worthing, Sussex.
On Wednesday, Stanley failed to return to the prison yesterday following a period of home leave in Guildford, Surrey.
Albert Edward Stanley, aged 63, was given a life sentence for murder in 1980, committed in East Sussex.
Police are thanking everyone who helped with information.
