From August 10, the Lightbox Gallery's courtyard café will become a new branch of the popular Waters Edge cafe at Heather Farm in Horsell, run by local celebrity chef Aneke Spacie
The Lightbox gallery and museum in Woking has announced that from August 10, its picturesque courtyard Café on the banks of the Basingstoke canal will become a new branch of the popular local eatery, Waters Edge. This will be the sister site to the already established Waters Edge at Heather Farm in Horsell and it too will be run by local celebrity chef, Aneke Spacie, who is affectionately known as ‘Michelin Mum’ thanks to her time working in top Michelin-starred restaurants in London.
Those that have experienced Waters Edge at Heather Farm will know that the café is situated in beautiful wetlands and that it serves fresh, locally-sourced, organic produce in a creative and imaginative way that the diner is sure to remember. Opened in early 2016, the café has been an instant hit thanks to the location and quality of the food which includes tasty stand-outs such as indulgent eggs benedict, a ‘farm to fork W’Edge burger’ and what might be the best brownies ever-tasted!
Head chef, Aneke Spacie explains her vision, “Waters Edge is a relaxing environment to enjoy the pleasure of eating nature’s finest ingredients to nourish our mind and soul”.
The new Waters Edge at the Lightbox will bring that vision as well as delicious, memorable food to Woking town centre. The fusion of art gallery and museum coupled with the creative cooking of Aneke is a perfect match. The Director of The Lightbox, Marilyn Scott, is looking forward to the launch

The new café at The Lightbox will be open for breakfast, brunch, lunches and of course plenty of home-baked cakes, savoury bites and a wide selection of hot and cold beverages will be available throughout the day. In addition to providing the café menu, Waters Edge @The Lightbox will also be taking over the catering provision for venue hire at The Lightbox.
