Man's best friend, but possibly not his best drinking partner – until now. Catherine Whyte blows the (dog) whistle for Brakspear's new canine pub initiative.
Brakspear, the brewer and pub company, has recently launched Pooches in Pubs – a fun, new campaign to encourage dog owners to its venues, with many local pubs taking part.
Not only will there be a fresh supply of water bowls and treats for visiting hounds, but owners are also invited to submit cute shots of their dogs at the pubs via social media. Owners of winning dogs will receive a charcoal drawing of their furry friend, while runners-up will be awarded with water bowls and Frisbees.
The campaign is running at all Brakspear pubs in the area, including:
- The Running Horses in Mickleham
- The Bell in Tadworth-on-the-Hill
- The Jolly Brickmakers in Redhill
- The Flower Pot in Lower Sunbury
- The William Bray, in Shere
