Get intimate with Verdi
Surrey and London based Opera Foundry, under the direction of highly experienced conductor (and former English National Opera tenor) Richard Cartmale, is concluding its Great Opera Composer Series with ‘Verdi’ on Saturday 5th December in Richmond. The performance will include ensembles and arias from some of Verdi’s greatest operas, sung by a cast of exceptional opera talent, accompanied by concert pianists.
‘Verdi’ follows on from ‘Mozart’ and ‘Puccini’ and will be repeated in Guildford in January 2016. This concert series offers bite-sized pieces of opera for those wanting a good place to start learning about the great opera composers, but with the quality to please seasoned opera lovers.
Soprano Marika Rauscher and Baritone Ian Helm (both right) will be performing a scene from La Traviata.
