Any Kinks fan will not be let down by The Kast Off Kinks who make their debut visit to the Epsom Playhouse on Friday 26 June. This is not just a tribute to the legendary band, but features three former members of The Kinks re-living the good times and keeping the songs alive that made The Kinks a household name.
The Kast off Kinks were formed in 1994 by the original Kinks drummer, Mick Avory. For most fans, Mick is the definitive Kinks drummer and regarded to this day as the backbone of the band. Mick was the drummer on all the classic Kinks hits from 1964 to 1984. He is joined by John Dalton (bass/vocals, ex Kinks 1966 & 1969 – 1976), Ian Gibbons (keyboards/vocals, ex Kinks 1979 - 1996, still with Ray Davies) and Dave Clarke (guitar/vocals, previously with the Beach Boys, Noel Redding & Tim Rose).
The show features all the Kinks hits include You Really Got Me, Dedicated Follower of Fashion, Lola, Days, Sunny Afternoon, Waterloo Sunset, Tired of Waiting and Come Dancing.
