The Black Cat Opera Company brings Verdi’s Falstaff to Camberley Theatre on August 12-16th. Based on the character Sir John Falstaff from Shakespeare’s The Merry Wives of Windsor, Falstaff is a joyously comic story of romance, jealousy, deception, and defenestration!
Phillip Guy Bromley, a former principal with Glyndebourne, Welsh National Opera and English National Opera will direct the production and perform the title role. The professional cast also includes rising star Philip Smith, who will make his debut with the Royal Opera in the autumn.
Falstaff will be performed in Italian with English surtitles. Tickets are priced at £20, £19 (concessions) and £18 (Theatre Club) and are available from Camberley Theatre’s Box Office on 01276 707600 or at camberleytheatre.biz.
