The RHS teamed up with the UK Space Agency to send 2kg of rocket seeds to the International Space Station for the Rocket Science project. These seeds have returned to Earth and been distributed to 10,000 schools across the country, so that children can carry out their own experiments to discover the effects of space travel on food production. Launching this summer will be a free activity every weekday including gardening, music, and arts and crafts linked to the mission. Look out for rocket-filled dishes at Taste of Wisley cafés and the Food Hall, or pick up star and rocket cookies for your picnic. Bring your family along for a full day of fun every day of the holidays.
Activities every day, some bookable in advance, visit rhs.org.uk/wisley for what’s on when.
Normal garden admission applies.
