Richmond ‘Artist of the Year’ Competition
We are so excited to be hosting Richmond “Artist of the Year” Competition.
Organised by independent South West London charity Arts Richmond. The competition, modelled on the popular Sky Arts series ‘Landscape Artist of the Year’, gives artists aged 16+ living or working across the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames a chance to create an original work inspired by the scenery and wildlife at the Wetland Centre in just three hours, for the chance to win a series of prizes.
Artists will be around the site creating their masterpieces from 11.30 am to 2.30 pm, with judging taking place at 3.30 pm that afternoon - this is open to all to see which is the winning entry!
Prizes include £250 in cash, sponsored by Haynes Fine Art, as well as a one year Wildfowl & Wetland Trust (WWT) membership, offering free entry to all ten UK Wetland Centres and more.
Works created during the competition will also be displayed in our gallery space after the competition, including works for sale to benefit worldwide wetlands conservation.
The competition is free to enter. Artists who would like to register to take part can email info@artsrichmond.org.uk for an application form, or write to Arts Richmond at: Room 21, ETNA Community Centre, 13 Rosslyn Road, Twickenham TW1 2AR.
