Guildford: The Rock & Roll Years
Guildford the Rock ‘n’ Roll Years is the story – in words, fun anecdotes, pictures, and live music – of the vibrant local music scene of the late 1950s and 60s. It all began with the skiffle craze that soon turned into rock ‘n’ roll. Local historian and Institute tutor David Rose leads the evening with Mick Douglas and John Kelly, both of whom were musicians on the scene during
those times.
They will round off the evening playing guitars and singing memorable songs from that era. The bar will be open before and during the event.
