The Yehudi Menuhin School
Family Day (002)
Launch into space aboard the Menuhin spacecraft as we explore our solar system through Gustav Holst's extraordinary work, The Planets. Featuring arrangements by The Menuhin School community for a large chamber ensemble and accompanied by narration, lighting and projections washing the stage with images, there will be something to discover for the whole family during an afternoon of exhilarating exploration. Grounds open from 1pm-5pm for activities, picnics, food stalls, games, bouncy castle and visits to our planetary exhibition.
Founded in 1963 by celebrated violinist Yehudi Menuhin and based in Cobham, The Yehudi Menuhin School provides a nurturing environment, combining an intense musical provision with academic studies, for an international community of highly gifted children, all of whom are selected based on their talent and potential, regardless of their economic background. Specialist tuition is provided by an extraordinary faculty of teachers, many of whom are internationally recognised performers and pedagogues.
