Make a play in a week with Guildford Shakespeare Company's Summer Holiday Drama Clubs!
There is still time to book your budding young thespians onto Guildford Shakespeare Company’s Summer Holiday Drama Clubs. In just five days young actors will play, rehearse and stage their own production for family and friends.
TWELFTH NIGHT 4 - 8 August (12-17 yr olds)
Here’s your chance to be the boisterous Sir Toby Belch; disguise yourself as a boy like Viola; become the daring pirate Antonio; and put the pompous Malvolio back in his place! Working with professional actors from this summer’s open-air production, the week will feature drama activities and workshops designed to get you acting Shakespeare like a pro, as we bring the weird world of Illyria to life in a performance for family and friends at the end of the week.
…no experience of Shakespeare or acting necessary, just bring yourself, heaps of energy (a packed lunch!) and a desire to have some fun…yellow tights optional!
Times: Everyday, 10am - 4pm, with the final performance on Friday 8 August at 5pm
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST 11 - 15 August (7-11 yr olds)
Trapped in a terrible magic spell, the Beast lives alone in a dark castle, refusing all company, that is until a girl arrives, lost in the forest... Join us for a week bursting with fun and creativity as we bring to life this enchanting story full of magic, adventure, and pieces of furniture that can talk! Create a character, learn lines, paint the scenery and at the end of the week we’ll perform our version of this classic tale for family and friends.

Times: Everyday, 10am - 3.15pm, with the final performance on Friday 15 August at 4pm
