Described by Time Out London as 'the Daddy of car boot sales', this event takes place on most Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays.
Selling plants, fruit and freshly baked bread, as well as the traditional car boot items and collectables, Hook Road Arena car boot sale attracts up to 900 stalls and 6000 buyers.

Horley Car Boot Sale
- Opening hours: Every Sunday from mid-February to mid-December, 7 am - 1 pm.
- Cost: Buyers Free, Sellers £11- £20 per pitch
Located near Gatwick Airport, this car boot sale attracts local buyers as well as international visitors. The site attracts around 30,000 visitors per year to either buy or sell their goods.
Sellers are advised to arrive from 6:30-6:50 to avoid disappointment, but are not permitted to unload their vehicles before 7 am. This website has more details on the event.

An established event which has been around for 30 years, this car boot sale is situated in the Dorking railway car park.
If you have something to sell, or just fancy a browse, then Dorking Car Boot sale is for you. Sellers can arrive from 6.45 am. Free parking for buyers before 1 pm.

This is a self-proclaimed 'genuine' car boot sale that has a relaxed friendly atmosphere with attentive staff, which makes all the difference.

- Costs: Early buyers £5 a person between 8.30 am and 9.30 am, 50p after that. There is no charge for children under 10, Sellers £8 - £12 per pitch
