You’ve heard of 3D and IMAX, and you might have even tried 4DX (vibrating seats and water sprays) …well, the latest cinema experience is ScreenX, in which the film is projected onto the side screens as well as the main screen. The aim is to mimic the human eye so that even your peripheral vision is immersed in the action, with the sidewalls used for extra scenery footage. Originally developed in South Korea, Cineworld Wandsworth is one of only seven cinemas in the UK to install it, launching with Aquaman, one of the first Hollywood blockbusters made with the new tech in mind.
