Leading estate agent, Hamptons is proud to be the principal sponsor of a Garden Sanctuary at the 2022 RHS Chelsea Flower Show partnering with award-winning garden designer, Tony Woods from Garden Club London and in collaboration with Koto, an architectural and design studio to create a tranquil and sensory indoor and outdoor space to relax and unwind.
A Garden Sanctuary by Hamptons will be unveiled at the RHS Chelsea Flower show 2022 from May 23rd to May 28th.
With the rise in flexible working and working from home comes an increased desire for space, especially outdoor and garden space, finding a place to decompress and detach from the indoors has never seemed so important and our gardens have become more essential to us than ever before.
A Garden Sanctuary by Hamptons has been designed to reflect the desire to incorporate the garden as an extension of an outside room, a place to step away from the home environment into the outdoors where one can escape and be distracted by the sights, scents and sounds of nature nurturing creativity, positivity and calm.
To complete the scene, Koto Design has created an iconic carbon-neutral garden cabin nestled into the garden setting as a space to read, work or just sit and enjoy.
Lesley Cairns, Managing Director of Hamptons comments: “We are delighted to be partnering with Tony Woods and sponsoring A Garden Sanctuary by Hamptons. We have seen from our research the surge of interest in gardens and outdoor spaces in general. Many more people are spending more time at home in general and working from home is becoming the norm. The garden has become so much more of a focus as a place of escapism, a space where one can be distracted by nature; a place to be calm, to unwind, and encourage an aura of mindfulness and well-being and the attraction of a home cabin where one can sit quietly and read or listen to music, use as a home office, yoga studio or creative art space – what more could one want!”
Tony Woods from Garden Club London comments: “The garden will be a celebration of the small domestic green spaces which have taken on extra importance in the last few years, designed with sustainability at its heart an extension of the home into the outdoors, a tranquil and sensory garden with a work /leisure space that creates separation from everyday life whilst increasing living space and adding value both in terms of lifestyle and property value.”
Zoe Little co-Founder Koto Design comments: "Working collaboratively with Tony and his team we have sensitively paired the stunning garden with a considered space designed for multi-uses. A sanctuary that ultimately connects you to the immediate nature whilst delivering a carbon-neutral building.”
