Charles and Sarah Russell-Walling from The Russell Gallery, Putney, have been exhibiting with the Affordable Art Fair, Battersea, for over 20 years and were one of the original galleries to show at Hampstead.
Over the decades, they’ve built a reputation for championing painters and printmakers who bring fresh perspectives to the contemporary art scene, making their stand at the Fair a must-visit for collectors and art lovers alike.
This month, they will be bringing an exciting line-up of artists to Battersea, including:
✨ Eileen Cooper RA – One of the UK’s most celebrated figurative artists, Cooper is known for her richly expressive works exploring themes of identity, love, and femininity. Her bold use of line and colour has earned her a loyal following.
✨ James Bland NEAC – A painter whose atmospheric canvases blur the line between observation and imagination, Bland’s work often captures fleeting moments with a quiet intensity.
✨ Sonia Lawson RA – With a career spanning decades, Lawson brings depth and gravitas to the Russell Gallery’s presentation. Her layered, narrative-driven paintings reveal a mastery of texture and emotional resonance.
✨ Tom Hammick – Recognised internationally for his striking woodcut prints, Hammick draws inspiration from literature, landscapes, and human connection, producing works that feel both timeless and contemporary.
✨ Henrietta Dubrey – Known for her gestural abstract paintings, Dubrey’s dynamic brushwork and elegant forms channel a strong sense of movement and rhythm.
With such a diverse and inspiring roster, the Russell Gallery’s presentation this year promises to be one of its strongest yet, celebrating both established names and artists whose reputations continue to grow.
