Planning the perfect wedding day is one of the most exciting things that any couple will ever do together, however, it can be tricky to keep on top of the planning as there are so many different elements to a dream day. At Gorse Hill the aim is to guide couples every step of the way
We start with pinning the perfect date- we check our availability, we put you in touch with our licensed registrars and we help you get the date and time for your ceremony booked and confirmed! We then confirm your booking with a welcome pack with all the details of the next steps to give an overview of the months to come! This is then a great time to send you ‘save the dates’ and get the wedding in the diaries of all your family and friends! We have a really handy recommended suppliers list, showing local suppliers who have frequently come to weddings here and know us really well- we have a contact for everything from flowers, photographers, DJs and cakes- just to give you a bit of an idea on where to start! These are typically the 4 fundamental things that people source once their venue is booked, however we also have a few extras which you might want to consider to really make the day your own- a Photobooth, a marvellous magician or perhaps a chocolate fountain to get the party started in the evening!
Our wedding coordinator is on hand at any point to answer any questions you might have, bit or small, and has enough experience of the industry and of weddings specifically at Gorse Hill to be able to help and advise you. We love to chat with your chosen suppliers to establish your plans even further, to have a completely clear idea on what will happen on the day! As months go by, you will try on several dresses, purchase your wedding rings and decide on music for the big day- all the little details! At around 4 months to go, we invite you back to Gorse Hill for a menu tasting- an evening of complimentary food and wine to ultimately help you decide on the menu for the wedding! You are then able to send this out with your formal invitations at around 3 months until the big day!
At around 6 weeks, with all suppliers booked and confirmed, fancy outfits purchased and all RSVPS (hopefully!) returned, your wedding coordinator will sit with you for your final details meeting to finalise your plans for the day, giving the team at the venue the clearest breakdown of your day. After this, all plans are safe in our hands- we want you to enjoy this special time as much as possible, and will make sure you are completely happy and really looking forward to the big day. So that when the morning of the big day comes, we will take care of everything for you and help you enjoy each and every moment!
