A new non-invasive skin-tightening treatment combining radiofrequency and muscle stimulation is launching in the UK, promising visible lifting and firmer skin in just 20 minutes.
Led by aesthetic expert Dr Raj Arora, 3D ReFirm targets facial and body laxity - particularly following weight loss without needles, surgery or downtime.
For many, firmer, lifted skin is appealing. Whether subtle changes in facial tone, skin laxity after weight loss, or simply wanting to look ‘just that bit fresher’, demand is growing for treatments that work with the body, but without the need for needles or surgery.
For those who are trypanophobic (have a fear of needles), there is hope, it seems.
Launched by leading skin expert Dr Raj Arora in collaboration with 3D Aesthetics, there is a new treatment, known as 3D ReFirm. It combines advanced radiofrequency technology with electromagnetic muscle stimulation to tone, tighten, and rejuvenate both the face and body.
Dr Arora is the first medical-grade practitioner in the UK to offer the treatment, unveiling it at her doctor-led aesthetic wellness clinic, The FaceBible, located within the luxury hotel Fairmont Windsor Park, in Berkshire.
The treatment begins with a thorough cleanse before adhesive pads are placed on targeted areas of the face, such as the forehead and cheeks, along with a grounding pad positioned on the back.
Once activated, the pads stimulate the facial muscles, causing them to contract repeatedly. The sensation is described as a tingling pull, often prompting involuntary facial movements, an odd sensation at first, but entirely normal.
At the same time, radiofrequency energy gently heats the deeper layers of the skin, triggering collagen remodelling. As Dr Arora explains, the technology works by encouraging the body’s natural repair mechanisms rather than altering facial structure.
“Unlike traditional skin-tightening methods, 3D ReFirm offers a non-invasive approach that stimulates collagen production and provides visible results with no recovery time,” she says.
The treatment arrives at a time when the UK has seen a surge in the use of weight-loss injections, often accompanied by unintended side effects such as loose, sagging skin, creating a growing demand for solutions that restore firmness after rapid weight loss.
“The rise of weight-loss jabs has left many people celebrating their slimmer figures but facing the challenge of loose skin,” Dr Arora explains. “These injections can help both men and women shed pounds quickly, but they often leave sagging skin, particularly on the face, stomach, arms and thighs.”
Each session lasts just 20 minutes, making it ideal for busy lifestyles. While many people notice a tighter, lifted feeling after a single treatment, optimal results are achieved through a course of six sessions, performed once or twice weekly. Maintenance treatments are typically recommended every eight weeks.
Importantly, the results are progressive and natural. “It’s designed to help tighten and firm the skin, completing a person’s transformation without the need for invasive surgery, while helping people feel confident again,” Dr Arora continues. “It’s groundbreaking technology and will transform the beauty landscape.”
The technology behind 3D ReFirm combines Trimax MD microneedling radiofrequency — which stimulates collagen deep within the skin — with PowerSculpt electromagnetic muscle stimulation, which tones and lifts underlying muscles for a sculpted, youthful appearance.
Roy Cowley, Founder and CEO of 3D Aesthetics, says the treatment addresses a gap left by the weight-loss boom.
“Everyone rushed to celebrate the weight-loss revolution, but nobody stopped to consider the aftermath,” he says. “The injections did their job. Now we’re here to help complete the journey. This is the fix people have been waiting for that is safe, proven and designed to help people feel as good as they look.”
