When Made in Chelsea star Binky Felstead moved into her new home in Barnes this summer, she had a clear idea for the theme for her daughter’s bedroom – a country nursery with neutral colours, rattan and sheepskin textiles and light, Nordic furniture.
The brief, explains Joanna, was to channel Binky’s passion for country pursuits into a calm, welcoming decor that would help three-year-old India make the transition from a cot to her first grown-up (well, junior size) bed.
Like many mums, Binky was worried that she’d find the move from a cot unsettling and would wander around at night, but we got India involved in choosing the bed and she absolutely loves it – and has stayed in it!
Also part of the decision-making was Binky’s million-plus social media followers, who helped choose the beautiful pressed leaves wallpaper made by Danish supplier, Cam Cam.
Each room in Binky’s colourful 1930s home was furnished by a different social media partner – the nursery by children’s interiors firm, Scandiborn – all with a boho meets country vibe, with rustic exposed brick, a Shaker-style kitchen, full of flowers and plants.
