Putney’s developers, architects and businesses have come up with a list of innovative and practical initiatives to improve the town centre and encourage people to the area, including a second train station entrance, a pedestrianised square at Lacy Road and more arts and cultural spaces. Organised by Positively Putney Business Improvement District (BID), the priorities submitted to Wandsworth Council’s 10-year Local Plan consultation include wider pavements, improved cycle parking facilities and more seating, as well as smart bins to automatically sort and recycle waste.
