Is your child a future David Walliams or JK Rowling? If you think they might be, then why not get creative this half term and encourage them to enter Reigate & Banstead Writes Competition (judged by yours truly).
Launched by Warwick School librarian Kay Hymas, the contest is open to young people in the borough of Reigate &Banstead aged 10-14 and, should they need a little push, there are some great prizes on offer.
The competition closes on Feb 28 and stories (no more than 1,000 words) can be submitted to your child’s named school contact, or sent straight to The Warwick School, marked for the attention of Kay.
All entries must be original and the work of the young person and should not be an account of real events. It must also be clearly set in or around Redhill, Reigate, Merstham or Horley.
