The White Bear
A popular stop for many walkers, The White Bear is a little off the beaten track but incredibly picturesque - settled in the heart of the North Downs. The pub has three roaring fires warming it in the winter, with candle-lit tables making for a lovely ambience. It's heritage of being workers' cottages and a small end-of-terrace pub before the building merged and the pub took over, means that it is separated into a few small rooms, and the nooks and crannies give it a certain quirkiness.

The Withies Inn perches on the edge of Losely Park, and offers a small restaurant as well as it's popular bar area. The charm of the small, characteristic pub makes it appeal to the locals - it has a 'no-nonsense' kind of traditional aesthetic. A definite must-visit if you love the cosiness of a genuine, English pub.
