The New Ashgate Gallery will be hosting an exciting exhibition of fine arts for this Christmas period, accompanied by an exhibit of Contemporary Textiles. We have a range of new painters and printmakers including: Chris Pig (black and white linocuts), Vince Bridgeman (geometric watercolours) and Annabel Collins (illustrations). Alongside some old favourites; John Maltby (sculpted figures) and Tessa Pearson (watercolours).
The textiles exhibit will present a range of knitted, woven, printed, felted and stitched textiles suitable for you and your home. The makers chosen for this exhibit are concerned primarily with process and blending traditional techniques with contemporary design. Work includes recent graduate Isabel Howe’s modern take on traditional cross stitching and award winning designer Corinne Young’s patchwork animal heads.
