The wedding of Katherine of Aragon to Arthur Tudor in November 1501 was the most spectacular royal wedding and public festival of the 15th/16th century. The Tudor regime staked its future on the success of this marriage, but fate very quickly took England’s rulers in a very different direction to the one plotted by Henry VII at this high point of his power.
