Proteus loves Julia and Valentine loves Sylvia…but when Proteus also falls in love with Sylvia, it all begins to go horribly wrong. Foreshadowing plays like Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night's Dream Shakespeare's first play combines rebellious children, banishment, betrayal, girls disguised as boys and even a scene-stealing dog.
Staged in the beautiful gardens of the University of Law, this joyous romantic comedy will have a glamorous 1950s Italian setting. Director Charlotte Conquest returns to GSC following her previous triumphs with Grimms’ Fairy Tales, The Comedy of Errors and The Taming of the Shrew.
