In celebration of its first birthday, Tunsgate Quarter, Guildford will be hosting a complimentary tea party for shoppers, including live performances, family entertainment and in-store promotions.
Taking place on Saturday 16th March, Guildford shoppers will be treated to cups of delicious freshly ground coffee and leaf teas, and ‘Tunsgate cupcakes’ to mark the end of the first-year trading for Tunsgate Quarter. Musicians from Guildford’s Academy of Contemporary Music, plus other local acts including Rock Choir, will entertain shoppers as they stop to take part in the tea party in the central atrium.
Tunsgate is also delighted to announce a collaboration with local Roastery, Redber Coffee, who will start trading from Tunsgate Quarter from the first birthday celebration. Redber imports some of the world’s finest coffee beans to Guildford, where they are roasted and ground at its premises in Merrow. After catering Tunsgate’s first Birthday tea party, Redber will, for a limited period, open a daily café in the central atrium of Tunsgate Quarter, offering a delicious range of fresh coffees, leaf teas and hot drinks, as well as the opportunity to purchase from its range of freshly ground coffee beans.
Younger guests to the Tunsgate tea party will enjoy the return of the popular children’s workshops which will be running throughout the day, including mask making and Mother’s Day cards, plus the Drawing Wall at the Tunsgate Street entrance will be re-installed for Happy Birthday messages as well as pretty Spring pictures!
