This five-week course will focus on the Tudor dynasty from Henry VII to Elizabeth I.
It will show how art contributes to our understanding of key historical events such as Henry VIII's break with Rome (arguably the first Brexit). It will consider the social and political matters that marked each of the five Tudor monarch's reigns culminating in the glorious reign of Elizabeth I which led to England becoming a great trading nation of the New World. The course takes place at Caterham Baptist Church, 4 Beechwood Road, Caterham CR3 6NA every Thursday until October 18 and costs: £43.00.
