Chris Forse has been travelling in China for over 30 years and has seen the country grow from a predominantly rural economy to the superpower it is today. He will give an illustrated talk on his travels which include part of the Silk Road and the route of Mao's Long March. He has also travelled in some of China's remotest areas where he has encountered bandits, carnage on a Gobi desert road, a tornado in Tibet and has narrowly avoided arrest in Sichen. He has captured the beauty of the country and its people in a remarkable series of photographs. Doors open at 7.30pm. £7 and £3.50 for students which includes tea, coffee and biscuits in the interval.
