The Perks Ensemble is a vibrant, flexible chamber ensemble, formed in 2012 by three siblings from Dorking, all alumni of the Yehudi Menuhin School: brothers Oscar and Elliot Perks and their sister, Ursula. They and their Ensemble colleagues Colin Scobie, Chaim Steller and Reinoud Ford, have high-profile solo, orchestral and chamber music careers both in the UK and abroad.
This is a rare opportunity to hear string quintet and piano quartet repertoire in the same concert. Off-the-beatentrack Beethoven and Mozart at his most profound make up the first half, and a true Dvorak masterpiece, brimming over with passion and high spirits, rounds off the evening.
The programme comprises:
BEETHOVEN: Piano Quintet in C, Op 29
MOZART: Stirng Quartet in G minor, K478
DVORAK: String Quintet in E flat, Op 97
